Iota Sweethearts, Inc. Officially Partners With St. Jude As A National Team

Monday, August 1, 2016

Iota Sweethearts, Inc. (I.S.I.) has officially partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I.S.I joins the partnership as a national team on the bronze level, pledging to raise $25,000 across it's platform. Regional teams across the country have been set up for online donations, as well as participation in the annual Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer that takes places every September.

I.S.I. National Vice President Sherri Bester was instrumental to the process of the organization becoming official partners. She has led the way in fundraising for St. Jude over the past several years, raising over $3100 alone in 2015: "You've got to believe in your cause, and if you're passionate about your cause, others will believe enough to donate. I had some donors that believed in me and my cause [so much so] that they were really coming out of pocket with heavy donations."

Most recently,  Iota Sweethearts had been working with Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., a silver level national team, in their fundraising efforts for St, Jude, raising over $37,000 last year. This year as an independent official partner, the sweetheart organization will have their own signage and pins the day of the walk and is listed on the St. Jude national website an official national team.
