Becoming an Iota Sweetheart and joining the ISI Sisterhood is more than becoming part of an organization — it’s joining a network of ambitious, service-driven individuals who are committed to excellence, leadership, and community impact.

To be eligible for membership, applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

Undergraduate Enrollment: Be currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university offering baccalaureate degrees, in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Associate’s Degree Holders: Have earned an associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.

Professional Experience: Have at least two years of hands-on professional experience in their chosen field, even if a formal degree has not yet been obtained.

In addition to meeting one of the above requirements, all applicants must demonstrate:

Strong moral character and a commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct.

A dedication to service and community engagement, shown by completing at least five (5) hours of community service during the application year.

We value integrity, sisterhood, and personal growth. Every member contributes not only to the success of the organization but also to the advancement of her peers and the betterment of her community.

An Associate Member is any member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. and other community
stakeholders that want to support the organization and it's mission. Interest individuals may apply for associate membership and pay applicable fees to the Regional Office. Associate members do not hold office. Associate members do not hold any voting privileges. To become an associate member, please contact the Regional Leadership of Iota Sweethearts, Inc. in the region you wish to become an Associate.
